screechingswells.mp3 - Keeley BD-2 Freak Fuzz -> Boss PS-5 -> Digitech Digiverb -> Goatkeeper (ramp-up wave): This was recorded on a beta model. The Digitech Digiverb was set on a very slow reverse reverb setting, and turned on only on a few select spots during the clip, when a real rushing swell was needed. Other than that the clip is simply the freak fuzz going into the PS-5 (on whammy setting), with the goatkeeper set with a ramp-up at maximum depth (stages set at 1-6-3-8). I tapped a much faster tempo at the end. fuzz_pitched.mp3 - MJM Foxey Fuzz -> Boss PS-5 -> Goatkeeper (square wave): Recorded on a beta model, the stages were set at 1-6-2-1, with a square wave at max depth. After the tempo increase, the PS-5 was used for some whammy-effects. ultra_short_staccatto.mp3 - Clean guitar -> Goatkeeper (user-set waveform): Recorded on a beta model, this is a user-set waveform. It is just a very quick ramp-down waveform, with the stages set at 1-1-1-2. trem-doom.mp3 - Zvex Machine -> Moosapotamus Dirty Bird -> Goatkeeper (square wave): Recorded this one on a very early breadboard version. I particularly like the way the Machine and Dirty Bird were used to create a mostly static, white noise, allowing the goatkeeper to be the main driving force of the passage. trem-harmony.mp3 - Clean guitar -> Boss PS-5 -> Generic Line6 fuzz -> Goatkeeper: This was recorded on a very early breadboard version. This is a clean guitar going into a Line6 modeler and PS-5 (set on a harmony setting), with the goatkeeper stages set at 16-16-8-4. Generic Line6 fuzz was used halfway through the clip. planet telex.mp3 - Clean guitar -> EHX Small Clone -> Goatkeeper (sine wave): Just a little Radiohead showing the Goatkeeper acting as a "typical" tremelo pedal. 2-stage-stutter.mp3 -> ProCo RAT -> Goatkeeper (square wave): Recorded on the production model, the goatkeeper alternated between divisions of 8 and 16, on a very fast setting. Even with the RAT on a mild distortion setting, the super fast stutter bends the notes making it difficult to make out the chords. Towards the end, I tapped a slower setting to allow the listener to hear the goatkeeper settings more clearly. pinched.mp3 - EHX Big Muff -> Goatkeeper (square wave). Recorded on a production model, with the stages set at 1-3-mute-8. Just some fun with pinch harmonics. ramped-up rambling.mp3 - Clean guitar -> Line6 generic chorus -> Goatkeeper (ramp up): Recorded on a production model, this has the goatkeeper set at increasing divisions (can't remember, but I think it was 3-4-6-8), with no attention paid to rhythm. I just let the increasing trem speeds juxtapose on some random arpeggios.
